Den norsk-svenska serien Maskineriet kretsar kring Olle (Kristoffer Joner), en till synes vanlig familjefar som vaknar upp på en bilfärja utan något minne av hur han hamnade där. Vid sin sida i framsätet har han en påse med sedlar - och en pistol. Där börjar jakten på sanningen och från polisen som leds av Nina (Julia Schacht).
